An excerpt from My London Diaries
We make memories every day, every moment we live. Though this life journey has twists and turns during its course, there are always those moments we love to look back and reflect on.
We look back not to count how much we earn or what material things we possess in the world but to gain a better insight into the journey.
It could be those little moments we lived and made memories for life,
Or the wisdom we gained while finding solutions to the Everest we faced.
It could be the bitter and better tastes we savoured on the practicalities of life,
Or the reminder of the reality that it wasn’t easy, but still, we made it so far.
Even though we are all busy chasing our dreams, we sometimes get reminded of our journey.
It could be a moment you sit down after a long day at work,
It could be a random night you are unable to sleep and toss in bed,
or even it could be the day you are sorting out those boxes of treasure in the attic which you kept for so long unopened.
Like today was such a day where I sorted out things I’ve been keeping for years. I opened the little memory box again, and it turned the pages of my life book a few years back.
I found myself going through the copy of my first flight ticket to the UK, my University ID badge from 11 years ago, my graduation guest ticket, the entry ticket to watch a hockey tournament in the London 2012 Olympic Games, the movie ticket for Jab Tak Hai Jaan which I watched on the day I cleared my IELTS exam, the old version paper ticket on travelling in steam engine train and many more.
These little things may not be significant, but the story it tells marks some milestones in my life. Every time I see them, my lips curl up, revealing the best signature smile reliving some of the best moments of my life again and again.
Much Love ❤️ God bless
