No matter how much you age, there is a child in you who never want to grow up. I know it because I come across one each day, I try to keep her in and hold her back, but on occasions, I miserably fail at this task.
Though I try to hide her, I never want to get rid of her, because she is that fun side of me that I adore. She knows me well and keeps me in place when I lose my cool. In times of grief, she remains my comfort and keeps reminding me of my dreams.
She has been a happy child who can easily be pleased. Her world is so beautiful with the essence of life, nature and character, where everything belongs in harmony, be it flowers and greens, bumble bees and butterflies, the seasons, and star-lit skies, even humans and everything under the sun.
She keeps me grounded with her innocence and graceful ways. She is not disappointed easily by failures, and she doesn’t get tired of re-trying again. Because she only has dreams to achieve, at her own pace which doesn’t involve knocking anyone down to reach them.
She believes in living her journey to her dream no matter how long it will take for it to come true. If it weren’t for her, I don’t know where I would have been, in this emotionally exhausting world that’s competing each day for everything.
Let’s keep that happy child beaming within us because every now and again we need that distraction to remain content.
Much Love ❤️ God bless
