My Profound Thoughts

Simple yet subtle.. Profoundly silly yet thought-provoking.. Sums up life..

Daffodils ❤️

Thank God for another beautiful day. I opened the curtains to welcome the morning glory and sat down, grabbing my cup of tea. My husband has gone to work, leaving me to my own two capable hands.

Though not sunny, the weather is pleasant outside. It’s not so warm, but indeed a perfect day to snuggle in a blanket and relax on the living room couch, and a Spotify playlist of my choice that will be the definition of heaven, I thought, plastering a smile on my face.

The heartwarming view through my window of a blooming bunch of daffodils in the garden dancing in the breeze took me years behind—a faint memory of the NCERT textbook from high school with the poem titled— Daffodils by William Wordsworth.

The magical words that once took me through the fields of Daffodils where William walked with his sister Dorothy. A few years back, when I visited Ambleside, Lake District, the place of his residence, Dove Cottage, I couldn’t deny the excitement deep within, having walked through the path of one of my favourite poets of all time.

The writer’s vision and emotions make words alive and enhance the reader’s imagination. Once again taking in the beauty of the golden daffodils, I curled up on my couch absorbing the warmth of my comforter. I closed my eyes to the Bollywood track playing on my Spotify playlist.

Much love ❤️ God bless
