My Profound Thoughts

Simple yet subtle.. Profoundly silly yet thought-provoking.. Sums up life..

Watch your Words 🙊🙊

Words are beautiful; nothing is more potent than the well-crafted words the reader (or listener) perceives in the right context. Words have the power to build and destroy. The right words could even uplift a depressed person, while evil words can break a healthy person altogether. Though words could stop wars between countries, they could be detrimental if used untethered. Hence why, David prays in Psalms 141:3, Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips. I am sure this is not just about the words spoken, but words in any form.

** Friday Morning **

I woke up with a purpose, having to complete some unfinished work I had recently committed to; however, after a little while, my lazy being decided to take a break. And I spoke to a friend over the phone. Interestingly, we talked about words. Both of us write and like to discuss anything to do with writing.

We discussed how words get misinterpreted these days because most of the message delivery happens via emails and text messages. It has become more of a reason for misunderstanding and conflicts between people. Though these are convenient means of communication, from time to time, people should meet face-to-face and talk.

My friend thinks that sometimes, no amount of writing could convey the actual message. I felt no matter how good we are with words, there is always a perspective of the reader, i.e., the context of words could embrace new meanings based on the reader’s mood.

What do you think, folks?

Much Love ❤️ God bless 😍

P.S. Although words convey meaning during a conversation, I can still converse in complete gibberish with my seven-month-old nephew.
